The Man Who Ate New Orleans

The Man Who Ate New Orleans is a project by the People of Plywood – Michael Dunaway.

The film is about a New Jersey pastor who moved his family to New Orleans AFTER Katrina to help rebuild, fell in love with the culture, and decided to become the first person in history to eat at all 603 restaurants in the city.  But on a deeper level?  It’s about the two most beautiful aspects of New Orleans — celebration and community — and how they play out through the city’s music, food, and rebuilding.

The film’s proceeds will go to the New Orleans Rebuilding Fund of Redeemer Presbyterian Church and to one additional charity each from the music, food, and rebuilding areas.  We are in talks with the following charities to be beneficiaries (click on charity name for more information):

* Music - Musicians Village
* Food - Second Harvest
* Rebuilding - Make it Right
