The Decade of Reinvention

Now begins the Decade of Reinvention, of taking the inevitable arrow of history and adding one of those big wooden steering wheels, you know, like the ones on pirate ships, and giving it a good spin.

Now begins the Decade of Reinvention, of redesigning the wheel because the old wheel is out of balance, and because we think there are probably better wheels to be made.

Now begins the Decade of Reinvention, of inviting the powers that be into the power of we because we are the only powers they ever had anyway.

Now begins the Decade of Reinvention, of turning over all of our suppositions just to see what they look like upside down, and leaving some that way for posterity.

Now begins the Decade of Reinvention, of failing and failing and failing and failing and failing our way to a new definition of success.

Now begins the Decade of Reinvention, of a reckless disregard for what is and isn’t possible, because most everything we do today used to be impossible, and now here we are doing the most impossible things.
