Paper Garden

We have a little community garden.  It’s actually in Jeff and Andre Shinabarger’s back yard.  Every week our group of friends spends time working the garden, getting rid of weeds, picking vegetables, cursing the raccoons.  It’s an amazing time of watching things come to life.

We love what Botanical Paperworks has done.  They had the brilliant idea of making plantable paper.  It’s a brilliant way for you to create your own little garden. Plantable paper is a biodegradable eco-paper that is made with post-consumer materials (no trees harmed for this paper!) and embedded with seeds. When the paper is planted in a pot of soil, the seeds grow and the paper composts away. All that is left behind is flowers, herbs or vegetables and no waste. It’s easy to plant and grow.

Check out their plantable paper, notebooks, and seed paper envelopes.  We think you’ll love what they’re up to.
