Dreams. It’s not for sleep.

Its one of those nights where I just can’t sleep. I slept for 2 hours, then woke up clearly confused. Questions start running through my head, ideas keep stirring. Thoughts are cloudy, but one thing is for certain, something fresh is emerging. In the midst of anxiety rests a place of anticipation. It’s that feeling where ideas are birthed, like a burst of energy out of a dead sleep. It’s a green light kind of night, Where ‘what if’ are the two most powerful words on the planet. Where the unknowns are waiting to be shared to the world.

Some people think of this place, a mental state as scary, which is totally understandable and maybe even true. But, if fear overtook the moment of epiphany, the world would die another day and sadness would continue to win. For me, I think of it as a release party. It may be a party of one tonight, but what if that party of one transcended to some. And what if some turned into an ocean of belief? What if the dream that woke up from sleep moved past insomnia and into the present. What if that dream moved from a patch of smoke to burning a place into history. It’s the reason we wake up on nights like tonight. Because we if we choose to lie another night wrestling for reason, our chance would have been missed to share our emotion with others in need of inspiration.

So, with this little prose I write to the world. Wake up. Get up and out of your dreams and start living. Tonight is the night to start your little notion, a dream has been awakened and put into motion.

Great to hear you go through the same sleepless vision-filled nights I do. Here’s to the insomniatists.

I am both inspired and just simply happy to know you.  Power in your words and inspiration in that you don’t just talk you do.  and you do great things.  Thank you for the words but thank you more for having the faith to act on these inspirations.

Thanks Scott – we totally missed you guys last week at Plywood Presents. It was the best one so far, sorry you couldn’t make it out – you would have LOVED it. Good luck in the kickstarter campaign!
