SOCIAL ENTREPRENEUR

Scotland based Duncan McFadzean is passionate about new ideas to old problems, technology, finance, faith, social justice and football. He has had 14 years experience in finance, 10 of those as an equity analyst in London and 4 working in corporate finance in Edinburgh in mergers & acquisitions, debt restructuring, capital raising, strategic advice, property joint ventures, de-mergers and strategic advisory roles. He describes himself as an investment banker with a conscience.

He has an increasing interest in India and working with the “untouchables” to assist with empowerment through creating economic activity. Duncan spends 4 days a week working as an investment banker and his Fridays in a coffee shop writing, having engaging conversations, helping out people and working on his other ventures. He lives in Edinburgh with his wife Kathy, who runs a training programme called Bake to Work, helping people who have been long-term unemployed back into employment by using baking, and they both love travelling to the USA for holidays.
