Kaylee M. Page | In a post-grad interview an interviewer asked Kaylee why she wanted the job. Her response? To help people. The interviewer was unimpressed, to say the least, of her generally broad and cliché response. And it certainly wasn’t enough to land her the job, but it was the most honest answer she had and still has to this day.
She received a degree in Communications with emphasis in theatre and broadcasting. Upon graduating, she moved to Charlotte, NC where she served 10.5 months in AmeriCorps at the Greater Carolinas Red Cross Chapter. During her time in AmeriCorps she gave aid to those affected by natural disasters and established the Charlotte/Mecklenburg County Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD).
After AmeriCorps, she returned to the mid-west and began work as Project Manager at C2 Media Productions. She managed the production of start> Becoming a Good Samaritan as well as the production of multiple other DVD curriculums for client Zondervan Publishing. Her work took her around the country coordinating shoots and conducting interviews with authors, pastors and social activists. .
She currently is Executive Assistant to Rick DeVos, whose projects include ArtPrize, 5×5 and Start Garden.
Kaylee lives downtown Grand Rapids, MI with her husband, Dan, and daughter, Bella.
To note, her interviewing skills have slightly improved since her immediate post-grad days but her mission and passion remain the same – to help people!
