Fellowship Overview.

Plywood People is a non-profit in Atlanta that leads a community of start-ups doing good. We do this through community, education and by creating experiences that help people dream. Designed for extensive training in social entrepreneurship preparedness, Plywood Fellows will have an opportunity and access to immerse themselves in Plywood's culture and our continuously growing startup family. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals interested in the world of Non-profit, Social Entrepreneurship, and most importantly Doing Good. This significant educational opportunity provides direct access to some of the greatest innovators in our city and a unique community. The Plywood fellows program will quickly be known as a training ground for the emerging generation of innovative thinkers and doers.This program will be perfect for you if you are recently finished with your education, interested in learning more about the ecosystem of social entrepreneurship in Atlanta and beyond, or if you want an onramp to innovative nonprofit organizations.

Details:

  • This position is in person at Plywood Place

  • Dates: February 6th-December 15th

  • Hours: About 20-25 hours per Week, $15 per hour, $50 monthly gas stipend

  • Attendance at Plywood Events is Required

  • Rhythms: Weekly Staff Meeting, one on one Mentorship from Director of Operations and Leadership Development Huddles

  • Perks: Firsthand Non-Profit Experience, Free Coffee, Fun Workspace, and Free Plywood Swag!

APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY Jan 6th: We will then go through an extensive process of 3-4 rounds of evaluation through resume selection, phone calls, zoom conversations, and potentially in person interviews to hand-select our fellows for the program.

 

Opportunities.

Community & Hospitality

  • Community coordination of all environments, in-person and virtual

  • Assist in the daily opening and closing procedures for Plywood Place

  • Assist with managing online store: prepare, package and ship Merch orders.

  • Foster relationships with Plywood and West End community via partnerships and events

  • App integration, communication and connecting people within Plywood Community

  • Assist Community Manager with projects and new developments

  • Assist with curation of Plywood’s weekly newsletter

Marketing & Design

  • Assist with major marketing/design projects throughout the year

  • Create marketing material for Plywood Events

  • Coordinate signage for Plywood Events

  • Construct posts and captions for social media

Program & Events

  • Plan strategic initiatives for Plywood Presents

  • Lead volunteers and work with outside vendors for events

  • Build operational spreadsheets and communications for event coordination

  • Production assistant for Plywood Place gatherings and fundraising efforts

  • Support the coordination of logistical details of events

Production & Data Analysis

  • Logistical planning through events, leadership and Plywood Place Operation systems

  • Create analytics reports and experience with digital advertising campaigns

  • Integrate sales processes to build channels of success for all programs

  • Assist with implementation and build out of Salesforce
