Educational Talks
What does it mean to be a social impact leader?
Hear from Plywood People’s founder, Jeff Shinabarger, and other nonprofit and small business leaders on balancing the demands of running a thriving business or organization, while making a positive impact and maintaining your personal well-being.
Facilitated Small Group Conversations
How do these tensions show up for you?
Talk through the real challenges you’re facing with other leaders who understand as we break into small group discussions with expert facilitators. Come away with new strategies and perspectives that will shape the way you work and lead.
Strategic Connections
Are you looking to find other leaders you can partner with or learn from?
Connect with others who are leading work that makes a difference. Find potential partners, expand your network, and learn from people who have been where you are or are navigating a challenge that you will face one day.
There is confusion and loneliness in how to be a conscious, sustaining, and healthy leader while aspiring to address social problems.
We have big dreams, but we don’t have a guide in a new wave of leadership. We are seeking mentors and a community to help shape this new sense of belonging for a new kind of leader. Many of us feel extremely isolated, misunderstood, and on an island.
This is why we created The Social Impact Leader Event.
This day will be filled with addressing the tensions of sustaining a personal life, a desire for social impact, and the reality of sustaining our business and organization.
We will be asking big questions that don’t have easy answers:
How do we balance empathy and productivity?
Where is the line between self-care and meeting community needs?
How do we sustain financially while also making a difference?
Are you interested in becoming a sponsor?
We’d love to hear from you!
